Tour description:
A long and exhausting ascent to the skiing area Rosskopf with its numerous Alms. The magnificent panorama view is more than reward enough for the difficulties. Starting point is the car park near the Rosskopf cable cars. The tour begins at the signpost to Raminges 19 / Rosskopf 23, which we follow. We ride the tarred road uphill towards Thuins - Telfes. At the second sharp bend (at Telfes) we go straight on past Hotel Rainer to the gravel road towards Rosskopf. We follow the forest path approx. 6 km past the Furl lodge, then on to the left to Sterzingerhaus. We follow the hiking track on to the Stern lodge (all open in Summer) and then meet path no. 23, which leads us on to Kuhalm and then to Ochsenalm. The descent passes Freundalm on the Atscherwiesen (tobogganing run) to Telfes. From there the tarred road goes either on to Mareit or back to the starting point in Sterzing. Very rewarding bike tour.
